Michael (Mike) Moloney

Michael began his career in the financial services industry in 1986 with AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. He moved on to become Vice President of Marketing at Walnut Street Securities from 1996 thru June of 2000. He then began his own investment firm and operates today as Big Sky Advisors. He offers his expertise in investment management, financial and estate planning.

Michael served as the President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals in 2007, receiving a national award from that organization for excellence in ethical practice, lifelong education, and volunteerism within the field of financial services. Mike also holds a Masters of Science in Financial Planning.

Mike is blessed with 9 children (7 living) and 11 grandchildren so far. His eldest, David (deceased 2019) served in the Navy for nine years and his widow Krissy is raising two wonderful boys. The next 3 are all girls who serve in the U.S. Air Force. His eldest daughter Elise is married to Tony Rich and they have 5 children. Lauren married Ryan Slough and they have 4 children. Mary Margaret is living in St. Louis and working at NGA. Ben is a Recon Marine and married Rachel Shidemantle in December of 2020. James is a Senior at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Doug is a freshman at Missouri S&T (Rolla) and Mikey is a junior at Herculaneum High.

Mike is very active in his Kirkwood church community playing guitar and serving in music ministry. He also enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, and many other outdoor activities.
